mteSA 2024 Excellence Awards Criteria

The 2024 Awards are a celebration of the fabulous work our Apprentices, Trainees, Labour Hire and Full-Time employees do throughout the year and are a reflection of their commitment to their Host Employer and their industry.

mteSA will present 14 outstanding award winners. The winners will be chosen for their dedication and commitment to their roles and their Host Employers.

The mteSA Awards Evening is a commemoration of the remarkable efforts put forth by our Apprentices, Trainees, Labour Hire and Full-Time employees over the course of the year, showcasing their dedication to their trade and host employers.  mteSA will announce the recipients of the awards, recognising individuals for their unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to their roles and host employers.

  • Second Year Apprentice Excellence Award
  • Third Year Apprentice Excellence Award

  • School Based Apprentice of the Year Award

Judging Panel Categories

  • Chairman's Apprentice Recognition Award
  • Chairman's Trainee Recognition Award
  • Building Trades Excellence Award
  • Engineering / Mechanical Trades Excellence Award
  • WH&S Host Employer Award

Nominee Assessment Criteria

Candidates are chosen for demonstrating outstanding achievement in a variety of areas, such as:

  •   Participation in their nominee questionnaire
  •   Review of host employer nomination form
  •   Record of training assessment results
  •   Training progression and trainer questionnaire

Conditions of Entry

  • Host Nominations must be made by completing the nomination form sent via email.  This will be the full judging process
  • Nominees must have completed six (6) months of placement for which they are nominated (ineligible is commenced after 19/12/2024)
  • Organisations can nominate more than one employee
  • Nominating Host Employers must seek permission from the employee to be nominated
  • All information provided must be true and correct - Failure to do so may result in disqualification
